The current website was published in August 2020. The 4 Presidents of the 4 associations in Tarbiyya Tatali are responsible for the website.

The team members are all volunteers.

Elise Coste has been in charge of the website since 2004. Amaury Adon finalized the current version.

Since 2004, the editorial contents of the website have been jointly defined by Marie-Françoise Roy and Mamadou Saïdou, and later by Marie Françoise Roy and Seiyaba Elhadj Saïdou, it is based on the Tarbiyya Tatali working documents (monthly reports, activity reports...). Drafting and posting articles has mainly been done by Marie-Françoise until October 2020. This task is now shared with Chantal Blum.

The translation of articles into Haoussa is done by Saoude Ali Bida. As for English translations, Armelle Le Bozec, who provided many years of translation, stepped down in early 2023. We used automatic translation tools for a while, but Eva Neveu has been handling the English translations since spring 2024.

Places to welcome visitors in Dogon Doutchi and Niamey

The activities of Tarbiya Tatali entail that the members of the association coming from France and other partners sometimes have to stay in Niger.
Hotels are costly and not convenient for long stays. To live daily life in Nigerien conditions requires a great adaptation effort. The friendship houses in Dogon Doutchi and Niamey offer some comfort for the visitors and make it easier to adapt to Nigerien life. Each house has four bedrooms and can welcome eight visitors.

Boarding interns

More and more young French interns are willing to spend a few months in Niger to reinforce the activitivies of the association in the context of their studies or their personal project. Our frienship houses welcome them in comfortable conditions.

In Dogon Doutchi: a meeting place for the association

Tarbiya Tatali did not have a meeting room at Dogon Doutchi which is the center of the Arewa, our main area of activities. An office was built in 2003 to set up the association and to make Tarbiyya Tatali more visible. A small library dedicated to the history and culture of Niger is being created.

The headquarters of RAEDD serves the national coordination from the Tallagué neighborhood.

At Dogon Doutchi

Open since 2003, the local branch office, located near the marketplace, is used by Tarbiyya-Tatali (RAEDD) to organize its activities and keep close contact with the population.

The archives of the Association and the information related to the surrounding villages are stored in this office

The representatives of the villages call there when they come to the market. These regular contacts make it easier to
follow-up the actions
and contribute to the self-development of the villages.
