Dogondoutchi is an urban community in the department of Dogondoutchi, in the Dosso region of Niger. It is the seat of that department, which coincides with the Arewa region.

Dogondoutchi is located at some 110 km north-east of Dosso, 210 km east of Niamey, the country’s capital.

The population of the urban community was estimated at 79,389 inhabitants in 2011.

The N1, the main west-east, Niamey-Dosso- Maradi-Zinder Diffa- N’Guigmi thoroughfare passes through the city.
